Individuals with Alzheimer's disease has been observed to have higher levels of aluminum in brain studies, while intervention with heavy metal chelation has been shown to slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
Autopsy studies showed increased levels of mercury in patients with Alzheimer's disease.
What you can do:
1. The majority of antiperspirants contain aluminum. Avoid exposure to aluminum by using a natural deodorant that is not aluminum-based.
2. Do not cook with aluminum (foil, pots and pans, cans) as it can leach into your food, especially when cooking. Opt for glass cookware.
Check to see if you already have an existing heavy metal burden, and if you require chelation.
Intermittent Fasting has also been shown to help promote brain health.
